Just FYI if anyone's thinking about using this:

Started, you can now turn on/off the lineout/speakers/headphones (note:
powerbooks have line out, not headphones despite the symbol on them),
but automatic switching isn't done yet.
Only on new machines with PMFs though.

Done except for master/slave switching.
