Of course it is related to the i2c interface (the mixer is accessed via
i2c). The code is there but mixing doesn't work at all.
What if you enable the modem speaker whithin MacOS (you might not be
able to turn it off in linux) and reboot. OF sets Mac OS's sound
settings on boot.

PS: Does anybody know whether 3D support with an ATI Mach64 within
XF4.0+ is possible at all?
I know it's not implemented yet.
